Five teams are fighting for the No. 1 seed in the NFC and two of them will meet on Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers have dealt with injuries to many of their top players on both sides of the ball and even with last week’s loss to division rival Minnesota, they are comfortably in front in the NFL North Division.

The Los Angeles Rams have dropped two straight games and trail the Arizona Cardinals by 1½ games in the NFC West.

How close has this series been? Not only is it all tied up 47-47-2 but in the previous 96 meetings, the Rams have scored 2,204 points and the Packers 2,398.

The Los Angeles Rams (+850) trail only reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay among the NFC teams favored to win the Super Bowl. Green Bay (+1000) is fourth on that list only behind the Buccaneers, Rams and Arizona Cardinals (+900).

The Green Bay Packers were seven-point favorites according to the NFL picks against the spread when they played host to the Los Angeles Rams in an NFC divisional playoff game on Jan. 16.Green Bay took the early 13-point lead and it was a 19-10 game at halftime after Mason Crosby’s field goal on the final play of the second quarter. The visiting Los Angeles Rams were 3½-point underdogs according to the scores and odds against the San Francisco 49ers. A pair of Deebo Samuel touchdowns broke open what was a seven-point game to put the 49ers up by 24. The 31-10 win by San Francisco was the second loss in a row for the Rams and the fourth game in a row that Los Angeles failed to cover.The game fell under the 50-point total.

Injury Report

Linebackers Leonard Floyd (concussion) and Von Miller (ankle) are questionable. Linebacker Justin Hollins (pectoral) and defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day (pectoral) are on injured reserve. Receiver Robert Woods (knee) is out for the season

A couple of streaks came to an end when the Minnesota Vikings, listed by the Las Vegas odds as 1½-point underdogs, handed the visiting Green Bay Packers a 34-31 defeat. Green Bay had covered in its previous nine games and had won eight of the last nine games straight up. Green Bay twice trailed by 13 points but a Davante Adams touchdown reception midway through the fourth quarter put the Packers up by a point. After a Justin Jefferson TD catch gave the lead back to Minnesota, Aaron Rodgers’ fourth touchdown pass of the game tied the game at 31 with 2:08 to play. Minnesota won the game with a field goal on the final play of the contest. Jefferson’s touchdown pushed the game over the 47-point total. The seven previous Green Bay games all went under the total.

Injury Report

Offensive tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) and running back Aaron Jones (knee) are out. Linebacker Rashan Gary (elbow) is questionable, receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) is questionable. Cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder) and defensive lineman Whitney Mercilus are on injured reserve. Offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins (knee) is out for the season.

Betting on the Game

When the season began, this was viewed as one of the games of the year not only in the NFC but in the NFL. It is still a huge game as both the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams are in the running to be the No. 1 overall seed out of the NFC and earn home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. It has been a bumpy ride for both teams. Rodgers is dealing with a painful toe injury that he said he plans to play through.

The bye week probably came at a good time for the Rams to get quarterback Matthew Stafford back to playing like he was earlier in the season. It will also give Los Angeles time to let recently acquired receiver Odell Beckham Jr. get acclimated to the Rams offensive scheme.
